Garmin Alpha TT 15 Collar

The Garmin TT 15 and smaller TT 15 Mini are the older track-and-train Alpha collars that shipped with the Alpha 100. They still pair with every current Alpha handheld, so a used TT 15 remains a working collar - and the current TT 25 is the direct replacement if you want new.

Does the TT 15 still work?

Yes. The TT 15 tracks and trains on the same VHF system as the TT 25, so it pairs with the 200, 300 and every handheld in between, not just the Alpha 100 it came with. That is why used TT 15 collars still sell: they add a dog to a modern system cheaply.

The TT 15 Mini is the smaller-dog version, same idea in a lighter package. Replacement straps and collar batteries keep an older TT 15 running - the batteries page covers the collar cells.

TT 15 or move to a TT 25?

If you need new, buy the TT 25 - it is current, supported, and the one Garmin bundles. If you are adding a dog on a budget and can find a healthy used TT 15, it still earns its place. The collars page compares the family.
