Garmin Alpha Chargers

A lost or worn charger is a common reason an Alpha goes dead between hunts. The TT 25 and T 20 collars use a snap-on charging clip, the handhelds charge over their cable, and a vehicle power cable keeps a unit topped up in the truck.

Collar and handheld chargers

Collar charging clips are model-specific - a TT 25 clip for TT 25 and T 20 collars - and a spare is worth keeping, because the clip is small and easy to misplace in the field. Handheld charging uses the standard cable, and a vehicle power adapter lets you charge on the drive in.

If a unit will not charge even with a known-good charger, the fault is usually the battery or a dirty charge port, both covered on the troubleshooting page.
